TAEKWONDO FOR MIND AND BODY

Hauth’s Family Taekwondo is for the whole family! We have classes tailored to all ages, including teens and adults. The martial art we teach is about much more than learning to protect oneself.

CONVENIENT SCHEDULES

Our class schedules are designed with you and your busy schedule in mind with classes scheduled six days a week with morning and evening classes.

STRESS RELIEF

Regular exercise is scientifically shown to relieve stress, and many of our martial artists value their class time as a break from the stressors in their lives. It’s an opportunity to unplug from the outside world and work out and learn with your community.

ENERGY

Taekwondo is a good workout! And having a good workout on a regular schedule can do a lot to improve energy levels. In addition, regular exercise helps you sleep at night, so you can be even more refreshed during the day. Even though the science behind this is well known, many beginning martial artists are surprised when it happens to them.

CONFIDENCE

Confidence from martial arts takes many forms: overcoming shyness, learning to carry oneself with more presence or authority, and learning to perform under pressure. Martial arts also teaches a balance of humility and confidence through a willingness to accept imperfection and a drive to work hard to improve.

MENTAL ACUITY

Taekwondo training combines physical exercise, mental stimulation, and social interaction, all of which have been linked to maintaining cognitive function and promoting brain health. By challenging the brain through learning and performing material, martial artists can enhance brain resilience, slow cognitive decline, and promote healthy brain aging.

Self Defense

Like all martial arts, Taekwondo was developed as a way to train individuals to defend themselves. At Hauth’s Family Taekwondo our focus is on training to avoid physical confrontation while learning how to respond if conflict is unavoidable.

QUALITY INSTRUCTION

All of Hauth’s Family Taekwondo instructors must qualify for regional and national teaching certification before they are allowed to instruct any classes. Part of this training focuses on the instructor learning the newest and most innovative teaching methods — with an emphasis on positive reinforcement — which allows him or her to teach a challenging class that keeps the student motivated and excited.

NOT TO MENTION

We’ve heard from students that practicing at Hauth’s Family Taekwondo has benefited them through career gains, friendships and community, family closeness…and don’t forget fun!
